On Sunday the 13th of October 10, BARC activists and friends braved the drizzle and grey concrete of Broadmead to raise awareness about the badger cull. We handed out hundreds of leaflets to people explaining the link between the badger cull and the dairy industry and had a lot of interest. We had a stall with leaflets about many other areas of animal exploitation, including more info on veganism.
Some dedicated and hardworking activists went on to join the hunt sabs on the ground in one of the cull zones that night in order to stop these bastards directly. The cull is a shambles and has already cost twice the estimated cost…this and constant pressure should help stop the cull from being rolled out to other areas, which is what this blood thirsty government want to do. The dairy farmers wanted this but it has become a massive headache and expense for them whilst transversely it has produced a massive surge in interest for animal rights groups and hunt sabs with hundreds more people considering veganism and giving up dairy every day.
